We will be opening an application period from March 1, 2022 to April 19, 2022. Eligible candidates will be invited to complete a Public Safety Self Assessment 1 and a FireTEAM exam. Applicants who successfully pass all portions of the testing process will be placed on the 2022 Firefighter Register and ranked according to their test results and the veteran’s scoring criteria. The top 25% of candidates on the register are added to a certified hiring list and forwarded to the Seattle Fire Department for further screening. We anticipate beginning the screening process in July of 2022. The first recruit class hired from the 2022 Firefighter Register will begin in February 2023.
