The Seattle Fire Department Is Hiring!
The application period for the Seattle Fire Department’s upcoming 2022 Entry-Level Firefighter Register opens today, March 1, 2022, and will close on April 19, 2022.
Eligible candidates will be invited to complete a Public Safety Self-Assessment 1 and a FireTEAM exam between March 1 and April 26. Candidates who successfully pass all portions of the testing process will be placed on the 2022 Register and ranked according to their test results and the veteran’s scoring criteria. The top 25% of candidates on the register will be added to a certified hiring list and forwarded to the Seattle Fire Department for further screening. Candidates can expect to learn their ranking the week of June 27, 2022, and the first recruit class hired from the 2022 Register will begin in February 2023.
