The window to apply to become a Seattle firefighter is now open! Apply online and review the hiring process at www.SeattleFireJobs.com.
After you submit an application, you will receive an email notification inviting you to take the FireTEAM test and complete the Work Attitudes Questionnaire (WAQ) through National Testing Network (NTN).
Please note that there are two options for submitting a FireTEAM test score this year:
Option 1: Between Oct. 15 and Dec. 10, 2019, video FireTEAM exams will be conducted by NTN in Washington state locations. Test results earned at these administrations will be sent to Seattle and are not transferable to any other department. Before scheduling a test date, all applicants should read the Applicant Handout.
The City of Seattle is covering the cost of the FireTEAM test, and you will not be charged for this exam. However, if you select Option 1, you forfeit the ability to transfer a current FireTEAM exam score (see Option 2 below).
OR
Option 2: Applicants can transfer any current FireTEAM score earned from testing at a Washington state testing location between April 15 and Dec. 10, 2019. Applicants who elect to transfer scores will be able to add Seattle as a department (at no cost) following NTN’s standard “department add” process. Once you transfer a score, you forfeit the ability to take the Seattle administration (see Option 1 above).
